Colin Woods - CEO

Colin Woods
Chief Executive Officer



Colin is one of the founders of PAN-Tribal and is an experienced asset management CEO.


His business philosophy is based on bringing the best asset managers to the Australian market. He and his fellow business owners seed the funds with personal money, actions not just words supporting his business decisions.


Having held a number of roles at UBS Global Asset Management, including CEO of the Australian business, Colin can leverage the contacts in his global network – his exposure to investment experts around the world has put him in a good position to identify and access the best investment managers globally.


Colin has more than 27 years’ funds management experience, holding senior management roles domestically and in Asia Pacific. Colin has an MBA from RMIT, a Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning and a Bachelor of Education.


David Myers
1970 – 2022


With over 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry, Dave was the first employee to join CEO
Colin Woods when the PAN-Tribal journey began in 2014.


Dave’s commitment to building the PAN-Tribal brand, launching the PAN-Tribal Global Equity Fund and establishing PAN-Tribal as the company we see today was unwavering. He will be remembered not only for his in-depth knowledge and industry experience, but also for his dedication to his clients and his passion for sport, in particular US sport.


To honour and thank Dave for his contribution, the PAN-Tribal Super Bowl Function – Dave’s Day is held on an annual basis.


Matthew Mantle
Key Account Manager


Matthew joined the PAN-Tribal team in early 2015 having spent 14 years working in the financial services industry. For the six years prior, Matthew worked with Colonial First State as an investment specialist within the Business Development Team. Matthew’s passion, knowledge of investments and portfolio construction have allowed him to develop meaningful and value-added relationships with his clients.


Matthew has a Bachelor of Arts/Sciences, a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance, and a Diploma of Financial Planning.


Mark Aufderheide
Key Account Manager


Mark joined PAN-Tribal in July 2016, bringing with him extensive experience in the wealth management industry. He has worked closely with financial advisers while holding senior roles in funds management, dealer group and platform businesses. With more than 26 years’ financial services experience, Mark has an in-depth understanding of the industry and extensive knowledge of financial markets.


Mark’s previous experience includes senior distribution roles at BT Financial Group, Asgard and Sealcorp.


Mark holds the CFP designation and has also completed a Diploma in Financial Markets and Diploma in Marketing.


Nick Baring
Key Account Manager


Nick has over 15 years’ of business development and account management experience in the financial services industry. He joined PAN-Tribal in 2018, bringing with him broad-ranging expertise across asset classes, investment strategy and portfolio construction, product structures and distribution channels.


Nick’s previous roles with NAB Asset Management, MLC and the Commonwealth Bank / Colonial First State Group have instilled in him an excellent understanding of adviser needs coupled with a strong client service ethic.


Nick holds an Advanced Diploma in Business (Accounting Major) and a Diploma in Financial Markets.


Dane Cuthbert, CFA
Key Account Manager


Dane joined PAN-Tribal in 2021 having spent the past 6 years working in Business Development and Account Management for the BT Financial Group and more recently with Fidante Partners.


Leveraging his strong understanding of investments Dane has successfully built strong relationships with a diverse range of clients. Dane has a Bachelor of Business (Majoring in Economics) and is a CFA® Charterholder.


Sarah Angliss
Head of Business Operations & Strategic Planning


Sarah joined PAN-Tribal Asset Management in early 2016 and is responsible for all aspects of PAN-Tribal’s business operations. This includes liaison with a broad range of industry stakeholders, such as regulators, dealer groups, research houses and platforms.


Sarah has 18 years’ broad ranging experience in the funds management and superannuation industries, bringing to PAN-Tribal a specialist knowledge of institutional investing, portfolio analysis and product development. Sarah’s previous experience includes roles with UBS Global Asset Management and Colonial First State, and immediately prior to joining PAN-Tribal she was a Senior Analyst in UniSuper’s investment team. Sarah holds Bachelor degrees in Commerce and Science and a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment. She recently graduated from the AICD Company Directors Course.


Steve Monaghan
Chief Finance Officer


Steve Monaghan has more than 25 years’ industry experience working in finance and financial services, both domestically and internationally.


From 2008 to 2013 Steve was the Regional Finance Director Asia-Pacific for Mercer, a leading global professional services consulting and investment business. Prior to this, Steve spent 11 years with Goldman Sachs JBWere, where he was the Senior Finance Business Partner.


Steve holds a Bachelor of Commerce, with majors in Accounting and Economics, and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.


John Lockwood
Institutional consultant


John Lockwood has over 35 years’ experience in the investment management industry. He commenced his career as an equity analyst with the AMP Society, then moved to the Switzerland Insurance Group where he became the Chief Investment Officer. In 1989 he joined DBSM Asset Management, the forerunner of UBS Global Asset Management.


At UBS, John was the head of the Melbourne office and was responsible for working with institutional clients with mandates that covered a broad spectrum of asset classes; from Australian equities and fixed income, international equities, multi-asset portfolios, private equity, global infrastructure and total return funds (hedge funds). John now undertakes consultant-based work for his clients.
